Calth’s Surviving Defenders

This is a collection grouping, not the invention of a new canonical faction. It brings together the surviving Ultramarines, Mechanicum allies, and people whose cooperation makes surface resistance possible. Ventanus supplies local command, Selaton close practical support, and Tawren a way to challenge hostile technical control.

The defenders’ resources are limited and uneven. Secure local communications cannot restore every orbital connection; holding a position cannot by itself undo the planetary catastrophe. Their success lies in connecting these partial capabilities so that a brief opportunity can be used. The withdrawal into arcologies carries those dependencies forward. The record links the practical relationships visible in Know No Fear rather than assuming a formal organisation or a complete roster the text does not provide.
